The Shepherd has several different meanings to the artist. The cat in this piece is again on the hunt, this time for real prey. This instintive behavior is joined with one of our cat's real life traits. We often find ourselves being "herded". The cat will direct us toward a particular area or room, either to tell us something "you left the light on in here" or to demand something of us. How did we become sheep?
