The Challenge depicts the cat's modern enemies, her toys, massing against her for an attack. Mr. Pig makes one of his frequent appearances (in a familiar position), as do the Wolf Mice and the now deceased Mr. Hippo. The comical appearance of the toys belies their sinister intent. As with all the pieces in the Ancestral Anthropomorphic series, the scene is rendered from the perspective of the cat and her toys. In this case, The Challenge is for the cat to keep her enemies at bay...
